The lined bodice has an off-white linen collar trimed in a petite cotton lace.   The bodice also has nine gold rose flower antique-looking buttons  and a rust colored organza ribboned placket.  The dress comes with off-white linen undersleeves (matches the collar) with draw strings (to tie around the upper arm) and trimmed at the cuffs with lace to match the collar. There are also padded breast pads which were worn in this era with day dresses. The overskirt is trimmed with rust organza ribbon at the waist and used to gather the overskirt. Adorning each ribbon is a total of 42 buttons matching the buttons on the bodice. At the bottom of the dress is a row of box pleated rust organza ribbon. This dress is to be worn over a hooped crinoline of a circumference of no more than 170" or lots of layers of petticoats. All seams are serged.    This dress is an original creation of my own, fashioned around a dress made in the 1870's. The dress that inspired me was originally made of green taffeta, with an overskirt laid in folds and caught at the sides with straps of silk ornamented with black velvet buttons.
