Description
I think the quality of this creature costume ("Gothgar") speaks for itself through the photographs but if you do have any questions please just ask So, what's it worth today? I'll let you all make your own minds up on that one but the following history may help. This is a UNIQUE ONE OFF that I am advised by several in the know would cost about £800 to £900 to make in terms of material and time and without any profit margin. I commissioned it from Dave Oliver (Forge of Lein as was) in late 2005. Please note that it is a complete costume and puts an extra 2' (61cms) on a 6' (183cms) wearer. I am 5' 11" (180.4cms) tall and have a 49" (124.5cms) chest and 41" waist (104cms) and I am the wearer in the photos (she's the pretty one) It comes complete with its own height adjustable tailors dummy plus a spare pair of claws (original hand claws need a strip & redip), spare pair of feet, two hessian sacks, an additional hessian open long tunic and a generous quantity of hessian measuring 35" (89cms) wide by a length of 148" (376cms) I have tried to put the 12 photos in an order that shows how it dresses up and all it's features. It has been used only at a handful of events and has taken very limited blows from LARP weapons although it was commissioned to take many such blows. Plenty of life left in the young lady yet then! The claws pick up tankards, weapons and all sorts without any real difficulty and the head is sculpted latex on a medium high density foam cranium. The head fits my above average 7 3/4 head (quite large) snuggly I have decided not to set a reserve but instead have started the bidding at what I feel is an outrageous bargain level of £333 (half of what she would probably tell you to bet LOL), I don't have a buy it now figure and it will go to the highest bidder at the end of the auction Collection or delivery can be sorted after bidding, whether courier or car. I'm sure that delivery or collection will not be a problem and I would certainly be happy to deliver at cost by car if absolutely necessary. Collection would however be preferred if possible please. International Courier/Postage will be applied at cost plus insurance for at least the final auction price and depending where it is to be delivered to Cash on collection always an option and for this item a bank check of currency for forgeries would need to be carried out before release of goods Cheques, bankers draft, bank transfer or postal order also accepted Happy Bidding - Good Luck
