This bag had to be made in the early 1900’s by the information I have on it. This purse we purchased at a very old estate sale in Oakland California in Sept 2008. What makes this hand bag very unique is the information that came with it as you will be able to read in the pictures as follows. The purse was given to Maggie Rogers from the first lady Florence Harding which was Lillian Rogers Parks mother. Lillian Rogers Parks was the lady that wrote the book “My Thirty Years Backstairs at the White House”. This purse was sent to Raliegh DeGeer Amyx in July of 1982 for preservation but seems to have never made it for some reason and ended up in this estate. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!
