A very fine antique English gentleman's cane. The collar is hallmarked for 9 CT gold Chester 1912 with a WHC maker's mark. The handle is ivory, and the stick is ebonized wood. There is a brass collar with a steel tip at the bottom-very practical. The thick ivory handle has a nice smooth feel, and is properly crafted to comfortably fit the hand. The piece measures approximately 36 inches tall. The ivory handle averages about 7/8 inches thick. It is 4 1/8 inches long. The gold collar extends about 1 1/2 inches. This cane is in excellent condition. It has obviously been well used, but is well preserved. The gold collar has just a couple of very minor dings, but no splits or damage. The ivory handle has a hairline crack, which does not seem to pose a problem. The stick has a few scuffs, but no damage. Please see our other fine silver and jewelry.
